Homes with Pools for Sale in Magna, Utah

Magna sits on the western edge of the Salt Lake Valley, tucked up against the Oquirrh Mountains and the Kennecott copper operation that's defined the town for over a century. It's one of the more affordable submarkets in the valley — most homes trade in the high $400s to low $600s — which is part of why a pool here actually pencils out for a lot of buyers who'd be priced out of similar setups in Holladay or Cottonwood Heights. Summers in Magna run hot and dry, with July and August averaging mid-90s and very low humidity, so a backyard pool gets genuine use from late May through mid-September. The trade-off is a real winter shutdown: temps drop into the 20s, snow accumulates, and you'll be dealing with covers, freeze protection, and seasonal opening costs every spring.

Pool homes in Magna tend to show up in the newer developments south of 3500 South and out toward Lake Park, where lots are large enough to accommodate them — the older grid closer to Main Street rarely has the yard space. Buyers should pay attention to water rights and HOA rules in the newer subdivisions, and factor Salt Lake County's tightening drought-year watering restrictions into long-term ownership costs. The commute to downtown SLC runs about 20 minutes via I-80, and the airport is even closer.
